Last Updated: January 30, 2024
Welcome to Divorce Coalition! Our community is built on the principles of respect, collaboration, and empathy. To foster a positive and inclusive environment for everyone, we've established this Code of Conduct. By participating in our community, you agree to adhere to these guidelines.
1. Respectful Behavior
Treat all members of the Divorce Coalition community with respect. We encourage open dialogue, but personal attacks, offensive language, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Inclusivity
Embrace diversity and promote inclusivity. Be mindful of different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. Our community is a safe space for individuals of all identities and beliefs.
3. Privacy and Confidentiality
Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information without explicit consent. Conversations within the community should remain confidential. If someone shares a personal story, do not disclose it outside the community without permission.
4. Constructive Communication
Communicate in a constructive and positive manner. If you disagree with someone, express your opinions respectfully. Focus on finding common ground and understanding rather than engaging in confrontations.
5. On-Topic Discussions
Keep discussions relevant to the community's focus on divorce, domestic abuse, and related subjects. Avoid promoting unrelated content or engaging in off-topic discussions that may distract from the community's purpose.
6. No Harassment or Discrimination
Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or any form of discrimination will not be tolerated. Ensure your interactions are free from offensive language or behavior that may harm or intimidate others.
7. No Promotional Content
This community is not a platform for self-promotion or advertising. Do not post links to external websites for promotional purposes. If you have relevant resources or services, contact us for collaboration opportunities.
8. Reporting Violations
If you witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, report it to the moderators or administrators. Do not engage with inappropriate content; let the moderators handle it. Your reports help us maintain a healthy community.
9. Moderation Decisions
The moderators have the authority to enforce this Code of Conduct and may take appropriate actions, including warnings, content removal, or account suspension, to maintain a positive community atmosphere.
10. Legal Compliance
Do not engage in or promote any illegal activities. Respect copyright laws, and refrain from sharing or requesting copyrighted material without proper authorization.
11. Empathy and Support
Approach discussions with empathy and understanding. Many members may be navigating difficult situations. Offer support when appropriate, and seek help if needed.
12. Continuous Improvement
We welcome feedback on how to improve our community. If you have suggestions or concerns regarding the Code of Conduct, feel free to contact us at beverly@divorcecoalition.com.
